Restoring Missouri’s population of Greater Prairie Chickens has had its ups and downs, but there’s a restored prairie where they and a population of bison are settling in.
 
Beluga whales have been living at the mouth of the St. Lawrence river since the end of the ice age, and scientists are worried that pollutants draining out of the the Great Lakes Basin is putting them at risk.
