He settled in St. Louis where he became a successful businessman. The home he purchased in 1854 is now preserved at the Campbell House Museum. In this BBC film, his great-great-great-great nephew, Alan McFarland, former tank commander and Northern Ireland politician, travels across the American West to uncover his ancestor's life.
