Watch "Confucius Was a Foodie" Starting January 16

Posted by Dale Fisher on

A new one-hour, food-travel documentary series was inspired by the discovery that 2,500-year-old philosopher Confucius was in fact a “foodie.” Classically trained, celebrity chef Christine Cushing has long been intrigued by how a cuisine is transported from country to country as a culture’s biggest ambassador, and how the power of sharing food can break down cultural barriers. This first season takes viewers from San Francisco’s Chinatown to the mountains of Taiwan, and from Hong Kong to Venice.

Wednesdays, starting January 16, at 1:30 p.m. on Nine PBS.
