Nine Names New Board Officers to Lead Network into the Future
St. Louis, MO — July 6, 2018 — The Nine Network of Public Media announces new officers on its board of directors for the fiscal year that began July 1, 2018.
“We are fortunate to have dedicated, talented leaders in our community prepared to serve on the Nine Network’s nonprofit board of directors,” says Jack Galmiche, president and CEO, Nine Network. “As we move forward with implementing our 2021 Strategic Plan, the expertise of our officers will help us navigate the rapidly changing media landscape.”
David Steward II, founder of Lion Forge, LLC, a transmedia company that develops content across comic books, TV, film, and interactive, is chair of the Nine Network Board of Directors. Steward has served as an officer of the board since 2014 and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. He was the recipient of Nine’s 2017 Pioneer Spirit Award for epitomizing its founders’ qualities and elevating the St. Louis community with his leadership, vision, innovation, and philanthropy.
Mark C. Lindgren, senior vice president of corporate communications and chief human resources officer for Ameren, is vice chair. Lindgren began his term on the board in 2016 and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. In his role at Ameren, Lindgren is responsible for human resources, corporate communications and corporate philanthropy.
Cynthia Brinkley is the new secretary of the board of directors, having served since 2017. Brinkley is president and chief operating officer, Centene Corporation. She joined Centene in 2014 and was responsible for leading the integration of insurer Health Net, which created the nation's largest Medicaid managed-care company.
Kathy Barney, senior vice president group finance officer, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC, remains treasurer. She has served on the board since 2015. Barney leads a 160-person team charged with accounting controls, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, management reporting, treasury, supplier planning and integration, and business unit financial teams.
