Nine Network’s Jack Galmiche to Ring NASDAQ Bell

Closing Bell Ceremony on August 28 to Recognize American Graduate Initiative

St. Louis, MO — August 21, 2015 — Nine Network President and CEO Jack Galmiche will ring the NASDAQ closing bell on Friday, August 28, 2015, with Neal Shapiro, president and CEO of WNET. The two public media executives’ participation in the NASDAQ ceremony is in celebration of American Graduate and the broadcast of American Graduate Day on October 3 on Nine PBS and other public television stations.

American Graduate is a public media initiative involving 80 public television and radio stations and more than 1,000 community partners in 30 states across America. Locally, more than 50 community partners are working with the Nine Network. The goal of the initiative is to improve educational outcomes for all children. The Nine Network of Public Media has been leading the local and national American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen initiative since 2011, serving as executive producer and directing national activities as well as local American Graduate efforts across the St. Louis region.

American Graduate is supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
