This 2010 Nine PBS documentary tells the story of how soccer became more than a game as generations of young St. Louisans battled for neighborhood, church, and city. It relives the St. Louis University soccer dynasty, which won their first National Championship in 1959 (the year the NCAA sanctioned soccer as an official Division I sport) and would win 10 more over the next 15 years. The team continues to dominate, finishing the 2021 season 16-1-4 after building the longest unbeaten streak within a season in the team’s history.
